You typed “pot shops near me” and got a wall of pins. Now you have to pick one.
That choice matters more than it looks. A good stop takes ten minutes and gets you exactly what you wanted. A rough one eats your afternoon and leaves you guessing.
This guide is for adults 21 and older only. Nothing here is medical advice. Washington law limits cannabis sales to licensed retail stores, and you will need valid government-issued ID at the door.
We put together this comparison because North Spokane shoppers ask us about it constantly. Two names come up most: The Green Nugget and Cannabis and Glass. Both are licensed. Both have regulars who swear by them. We also want you to see what is running right now on our current Spokane summer deals page before you decide.
So what actually separates one North Spokane shop from another? Let’s start with geography.
Two Solid Options, Two Different Corners of Spokane
Location is the first filter for most people. It should be.
Cannabis and Glass operates multiple Washington stores. Their Spokane Valley location draws heavily from the east side of the county. Plenty of Valley residents find that the most convenient stop, and that makes sense.
The Green Nugget sits north, at 322 E Francis Ave. That address lands right at the top edge of the Nevada-Lidgerwood neighborhood. The Nevada/Lidgerwood Neighborhood Council draws its boundary along Francis Ave between Division and Perry.
Two Green Nugget Stores, Four Miles Apart
Head north on Newport Highway and you will find The Green Nugget Mead.
The address is 11414 N Newport Hwy, Spokane, WA 99218. It sits just south of Costco, roughly four miles north of our Francis Ave store. Longtime shoppers may know the building as Alkaloid Cannabis Company. We call it the Canna-Cabin now.
That store covers a different slice of the map. If you live in Mead, Wandermere, Colbert, or Green Bluff, it is the shorter drive. Anyone commuting on US 2 passes right by it.
Mead also does something our Francis Ave store does not. It is medically endorsed, so it serves both recreational customers and medical cannabis cardholders. Our team there can walk you through how the card process works in Washington.
One practical note. The Mead store is cash only, with an ATM on site.
Here is how the two compare at a glance.

Both stores run the same deals most days. Both run the same remodel philosophy too.
Inside the Remodeled Floor of The Green Nugget
We rebuilt the sales floor this year. The goal was simple.
Fewer bottlenecks. Clearer zones. You should be able to see flower, edibles, concentrates, and glass without hunting for them.
The old layout funneled everyone into one line. That worked when the store’s customer capacity was smaller. It does not work on a Friday evening in August.
Now the floor breaks into sections you can browse at your own pace. New shoppers tend to gravitate toward the vape and disposable wall first. Regulars head straight for the flower case or hop in line when they know what they want.
Curious what is stocked before you drive over? Our live Spokane menu updates through the day.
Layout only takes you so far, though. The people behind the counter still decide how your visit goes.
Budtenders Who Ask Before They Recommend
Here is the part most comparison articles skip.
Our budtenders are trained to ask questions first. What worked last time? What did not? How much time do you have today?
That is not a script. It is how you avoid walking out with something wrong for you.
We hire locally, and most of our team lives in North Spokane. They know which brands move fast and which ones sit. They will tell you when a cheaper option performs the same as the one you pointed at.
Expert Insight: The Real Cost of a Rushed Visit
Most shoppers judge a dispensary on price per gram. That number is easy to compare, so it wins attention. But the bigger cost is buying the wrong product twice.
We see it constantly with edibles. Someone grabs a high-milligram package because the price per milligram looks strong. It sits in a drawer unused, and they come back for something else entirely.
A budtender who spends four extra minutes with you saves you that second purchase. Across a year of shopping, that conversation is worth more than a dollar off an eighth. Ask questions at any shop you visit, ours included.
Now let’s talk about what you actually save.
How to Compare Spokane Dispensaries Before You Drive
Every shop runs deals differently. Rather than guess at anyone else’s current pricing, use this checklist on any store you are considering.

Getting Here From Your Neighborhood
We are on E Francis Ave, just east of North Division Street.
Coming south from Mead or the Wandermere area? Take Division south and turn east on Francis. From downtown or the Garland District, head north on Division and turn right on Francis.
Driving in from Five Mile Prairie or North Indian Trail, take Francis Ave east straight across Division. We are a short hop past the intersection, on the south side.
We have a large free parking lot around two sides of the store, as well as ample street parking on North Astor St.
Riding the bus? The Francis and Division stop is a short walk away. Spokane Transit Route 25 runs the Division corridor, and routes 31 and 35 also serve that stop.
One reminder before you head out. Washington rules prohibit cannabis use in public places, including parks and sidewalks, so plan to enjoy your purchase at home.
