In one Recreational Transaction, adults 21+ can purchase up to 1 Ounce of Cannabis Flower, 16 Ounces of Solid Edibles, 72 Ounces of Liquid Edibles, and 7 Grams of Cannabis Concentrates. 

Qualified Medical Patients can purchase a combination of products to fulfill the limitations set forth by the state: 85 Grams, or 3 Ounces of Cannabis Flower, 48 Ounces of Solid Edibles, 216 Ounces of Liquid edibles, and 21 Grams of Cannabis Concentrates.

A driver’s license, instruction permit, or identification card from any state, province of Canada, a U.S. territory, Washington D.C., or identicard issued by a Washington state department of licensing, a U.S. armed forces ID, Passport, Merchant Marine ID, or a government-issued Indian Tribal ID card from Washington. An expired ID can NOT be used to verify age.

Medical cannabis is cannabis flower, extracts, edibles, and liquids that can be purchased by medical cannabis cardholders. As a medical cannabis cardholder, you can buy all types of products available at a dispensary as long as you stay within your purchase limits. At The Green Nugget Mead, we help you obtain your card and then guide you on which products may be most suitable for your condition.

In order to get a medical marijuana card in WA, you must have a qualifying medical condition and a recommendation from your healthcare provider. The healthcare provider will provide you with a Medical Marijuana Authorization Form, which you can take to a medically endorsed dispensary like The Green Nugget Mead. From here, we will enter your information into the database, get a copy of your government-issued ID, and create a medical marijuana recognition card.

Because recreational cannabis is legal for adults over the age of 21 in WA, a lot of people forgo obtaining their medical cannabis card. However, being a recognized cardholder does come along with a few advantages.

For one, medical cannabis card holders are legally allowed to purchase larger amounts of cannabis during one visit. For example, cardholders can purchase up to 3 ounces of flower, while recreational buyers can only purchase 1 ounce of flower at a time.

It is also important to note that medical cannabis card holders are exempt from paying taxes on their cannabis purchases. The cannabis excise state tax in WA is 37 percent. Therefore, you can save money on your medicinal cannabis as a cardholder.
